Welcome to Learning 2.0 @ FJTL where you will discover and play with social software technologies. During the next nine weeks, you will gain hands-on experience and learn how to incorporate these tools into your professional and personal life. The program begins September 2 and ends October 20. However, you have until November 8 to complete the assignments. Everyone who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion and a UAM portfolio. This program is offered entirely online.

The program objectives are to:
- allow staff to experiment with emerging technologies,
- foster discussions regarding the implications of web 2.0 in libraries, and to
- reward staff for learning.
So how does this learning 2.0 thing work? Each week you will be presented with an overview of various topics, readings, examples from other academic libraries, and learning activities. Remember, if you get stuck and need help, you can always email me at fjtl20@yahoo.com. You can also post questions and comments directly to this blog. Let’s get started. View the topic for week #1.
